For officers licensed after April 1, 2018, who have not had this new Crisis Intervention Training as part of their BPOC, this is a required course and must be taken within two years of license issuance. For officers who were licensed before April 1, 2018, this is 40 hour new required course to be completed no later than the second anniversary of the date the officer is licensed or the date an officer applies for an intermediate proficiency certificate, whichever date is earlier. In 2017, the Texas Legislature passed SB 1849, also called the Sandra Bland Act. Effective April 1, 2018, the new law requires new officers and any officer with only a basic proficiency certificate to complete 8-hours of TCOLE approved de-escalation training every 48-months. This course is designed for terminal operators who perform all NCIC/TCIC functions, including inquiry, entry, modification, clearing, canceling, and III functions. Operators must receive this training within the first 6 months of assignment or employment, regardless of whether these duties are performed on a full-time or part-time basis. In order to comply with federal requirements, operators must retest within two years of certification or most recent re-certification date.

This course introduces the student to the teaching-learning process, phases of the teaching-learning process, factors affecting learning, preparing a lesson plan, and methods of instruction. The students will be taught how to develop and use instructional media to enhance their presentations and the fundamental techniques of developing testing and evaluation procedures. AR 15 M16 Carbine Armorer Course
Introduction: This is the premier course in the United States. It sets the benchmark certification for the industry and is designed for the professional who wants the designation of AR-15M16 Armorer. The course covers the AR-15M16 platforms and provides instruction on how to diagnose and repair malfunctions, return firearms to military specs, perform function inspections, check headspace and more. Armorer training classes are a mixture of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, enabling each student to achieve a high degree of familiarity with the topics covered. Class begins at 08:30 hours. Upon completion, graduates will be able to repair and maintain the AR-15M16 platform to military specifications. They will be issued a three-year certification, and receive one-on-one TacticaLogic Windham Weaponry phone andor e-mail support. Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of AR platform operation.
